Staff Access
Grant dashboard access tiers (Owner, Admin, Editor, Viewer) to Discord roles or individual users.

Overview
Staff Access controls who can open the Java Lava dashboard and what they can do there. It is separate from Discord's own server permissions, which the bot never modifies.
Four tiers exist: Owner (full control, including staff access and billing, not changeable here), Admin (can change any plugin, setting, or config except staff access and the danger zone), Editor (can edit plugin configs but can't toggle plugins on/off or touch Settings), and Viewer (read-only).
Access can be granted either to an entire Discord role (so anyone with that role gets dashboard access at the assigned tier) or to individual users directly, independent of their Discord roles.
Setup
- 1
Open Staff Access
Navigate to Settings > Staff Access from the dashboard.
- 2
Grant access by role
Assign an access tier (Admin, Editor, or Viewer) to a Discord role. Everyone holding that role inherits the tier.
- 3
Grant access to individuals (optional)
Grant a tier directly to a specific user, independent of their Discord roles, for one-off access.
- 4
Review the access matrix
Check per-area (Moderation, Auto-mod, Leveling, Welcome, Verification, Logging, Reaction Roles, Settings, Danger Zone) permissions for each tier.
Configuration options
