Running a server shouldn't mean running five bots.
Most servers end up duct-taping together a moderation bot, a leveling bot, a welcome bot, and a ticket bot. Java Lava aims to cover those core jobs in one bot.
One bot, core modules wired together
Moderation, leveling, welcome messages, tickets, and reaction roles live in a single bot instead of five separate invites.
One dashboard, one login
One place to change anything, with no separate prefixes or permission setups to keep straight.
Modules share data by design
Leveling knows about roles and the mod-log knows about tickets, so there is no cross-bot config to reconcile.
Free essentials, optional upgrades
The core is free to run, with optional paid upgrades for servers that want more customization.
Everything your server needs.
One bot. Zero add-ons.
Stop juggling five different bots with five different prefixes. Java Lava brings every core module together in one package. See exactly how each one looks in action.
Moderation & Auto-Mod
Java Lava's moderation suite covers warn, kick, ban, timeout, and note commands with role-hierarchy checks built in, plus a full case history so nothing gets lost. Auto-mod catches spam, banned words, mass mentions, and suspicious links as they're posted. Every action is recorded in a searchable mod log so your team can review what happened. You can set thresholds per rule so enforcement matches how your community actually behaves.
Welcome Cards & Greetings
Java Lava greets new members with a plain text message, a rich embed, or a full image-rendered welcome card, plus a separate goodbye configuration for when they leave. A placeholder system ({user}, {server}, {membercount}, and more) keeps every message personalized without editing anything per member. Join roles are assigned automatically the moment someone arrives, with a separate optional role for bots, and you can delay the message so verification bots finish first. Use /welcome test to preview exactly what will post before a single member sees it.
Leveling & Rank Cards
Java Lava tracks message-based XP with anti-spam cooldowns, posts level-up announcements, and unlocks role rewards automatically as members level up. The centerpiece is a custom, image-rendered rank card: members can set their own background, accent color, and layout, and it renders cleanly wherever it's posted. You can pair leveling with a public leaderboard page so your most active members get recognized. It's a way to encourage conversation without turning your server into a grind.

Top 3Scam & NSFW Detection
Detection runs two fixed, curated checks against every message: a maintained scam/phishing-signature list that catches scam links, and an NSFW-media classifier that analyzes images and GIFs with an image-classification model rather than keyword matching. Pick one or more actions per check (delete, warn, timeout, kick, ban, or none at all) and optionally flag matches to a review channel for a moderator to confirm. Video attachments are not content-scanned. They are only flagged for a moderator to review by hand, never auto-actioned. Dry-run mode lets you see what it would catch before it takes any action.
Discord Reaction Roles
Members can pick their own roles without a moderator handling every request. Build button or select-menu panels in a visual editor, group roles into exclusive sets so people can only pick one, and set emojis and colors that match your server. Java Lava keeps panels in sync automatically: if a role gets deleted, its button disappears with it, so you don't end up with dead buttons on a panel. You can combine reaction roles with onboarding to gate access to channels until someone opts in, which is a quick way to turn a wall of hidden channels into an organized set of open ones.

Support Ticket Panels
Java Lava's ticket panels give members a place to get help instead of posting in general chat. Clicking a panel creates a private channel, routes it to the right category, and lets staff claim it so ownership is clear. Every ticket generates a transcript automatically when it closes, so nothing gets lost once the channel is gone. You can set up multiple panels for different topics (support, applications, appeals), each with its own routing and staff ping. It works whether you handle a handful of tickets a week or run a full support desk.

The permissions we ask for, and why
A moderation bot needs real powers, so here is exactly what the invite requests. Java Lava never asks for Administrator.
- View Channels, Send Messages, Embed Links, Attach Files, Add Reactions, Read Message History
- Reply to commands, post welcome cards, panels and embeds, and read messages so auto-mod, leveling and counting can work.
- Manage Messages
- Delete rule-breaking messages for auto-mod and detection, and keep sticky messages and ticket panels tidy.
- Manage Channels
- Create and clean up ticket channels, temporary voice channels, and statistics channels.
- Manage Roles
- Hand out reaction roles, level rewards, and join roles. Java Lava can only manage roles below its own.
- Kick Members, Ban Members, Moderate Members
- Run moderation commands and the actions you choose for auto-mod and detection (kick, ban, or timeout).
- View Audit Log
- Attribute moderation actions and role changes in your logs.
- Manage Server
- Read your server's invites so invite tracking can credit the right member.
- Move Members
- Move people between voice channels for temporary voice channels.
You review and can change these on Discord's own approval screen before anything is added to your server.
Frequently asked questions
Still deciding? Here's what most server owners ask before adding Java Lava.
Yes. Moderation, auto-mod, leveling, and reaction roles are free forever for any server. Java Lava Pro is an optional upgrade for teams that want extra customization, not a paywall on the core features.
You need the "Manage Server" permission on the server you're adding Java Lava to — the same permission Discord requires for any bot invite. Once it's in, you can hand out narrower access from the dashboard so moderators don't need full admin.
Every module is independent. Enable just moderation if that's all you want, or turn on the full set — leveling, welcome cards, tickets, reaction roles — and configure each one from the dashboard without touching the others.
Java Lava doesn't claim commands or roles it isn't configured to manage, so it can run alongside other bots. Most servers use it to replace several single-purpose bots at once, but that's a migration you control at your own pace.
Disabling a module just stops it from running — your configuration for it is kept, not deleted, so turning it back on later restores exactly how you had it set up.
Ready to light things up?
Bring your server the core modules it needs in one invite, then configure each one from the dashboard.

Social Alerts
Connect a YouTube, Twitch, Bluesky, or Kick account and Java Lava posts an announcement to the channel you choose when a stream goes live or new content is published. Each connection has its own customizable message, so a go-live ping can look different from a video upload, and you can mention a role so the right members hear about it. Connections are managed from the dashboard alongside everything else, with no separate alert bot to invite or keep in sync.
